What it is

What is Ozempic?

Ozempic (semaglutide) is a once-weekly injectable GLP-1 receptor agonist, originally developed for type 2 diabetes and widely prescribed off-label and on-label for weight management.

Like other GLP-1 medications, it works by slowing digestion and reducing appetite signals, and it's typically started at a low dose that increases every few weeks based on how you tolerate it.

Why tracking matters

Why tracking matters on Ozempic

Because Ozempic is dosed weekly, your experience isn't flat across the week — appetite, energy and side effects often shift noticeably between injection day and day 6 or 7. Most people notice patterns (a rough day 2–3, a better appetite by day 5) but lose track of them because there's no single place recording dose day, symptoms, and how they felt side by side. Dose increases add another layer: what felt manageable at 0.5mg can feel different at 1mg, and having your own week-by-week record makes that transition easier to talk through with your prescriber.

Ozempic tracking questions

Does GLP-1 Simple track Ozempic dose increases?

Yes. Set your current dose and update it as your prescriber adjusts it — your Dose-Day Timeline lets you compare how each dose level felt.

Can I track Ozempic alongside other medications if I switch?

Yes, your history stays intact if you switch GLP-1 medications, so you can compare experiences across drugs.

Is this an official Novo Nordisk app?

No. GLP-1 Simple is an independent tracking app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Novo Nordisk.

Will this tell me if my Ozempic dose is working?

No. GLP-1 Simple organizes what you record so you and your clinician can have a better-informed conversation — it doesn't determine whether a medication is working.
